Bins

Do you need a bin to move in, move out, or move to/from? If so, bins are available at Davenport B and West Campus, Building A - North during the following times:

Aug .15th: 9am-9pm (Returned by 8pm)
Aug. 16th: 3pm-9pm (Returned by 8pm)
Aug. 17th: 3pm-9pm (Returned by 8pm)
Aug. 18th: 12pm-9pm (Returned by 8pm)
Aug. 19th - 28th: 3pm-9pm (Returned by 8pm)

The Resident Student Association is aware of the bin shortage that presently exists and is trying to find out what can be done to improve the situation for students who need to make moves. To help the situation, residents should attempt to pack everything and then make bin trips as quickly as possible and return their bin immediately.

What about for times that aren't listed? Like during September move in?

The point of the bins are so that you can get everything out of your car/into your car while it is curbside. What will happen if there are no bins for September move-in? Will there be a parking issue, too?

These hours are only for the to/from move. There will be bins in September during move in. The hours for that time have yet to be posted.

We are paying $40 grand in tuition each year and they can't afford more bins?

We are still trying to figure out what went wrong with bringing the bins in. Northeastern owns plenty, but they did not seem to transport enough from the storage warehouse to campus. As far as September goes, they should transport more bins over for that move-in. It will have a separate bin schedule and bins will be available at North Lot and other spaces. It is going to be difficult to find curbside parking during move-in weekend and double parking is a $75 fine + possible towing, so it's easiest to just use the free move-in parking Northeastern provides and push things over in a bin.
