International Village To Have Trays!

The Huntington News this morning has printed a story about yesterday's news that International Village will have trays available to students, along with modifications to make it so that students won't need a tray to return their dishes. You can read more here.

This news brings to a conclusion a months-long debate in which the Resident Student Association worked to defend the integrity of student opinion and defend the rights of students living in the residence halls. We are going to be continuing work on educating students about sustainable practices in the dining halls, while still ensuring that students' rights are being protected and preserved.

Here at Northeastern, we are like the USA. There are groups of people who want to tell others what to do. People at NU want to decide for you that you can't have a tray. Just like how Democrats want to decide for you how to manage your money by taking it in tax.

I think you are right... the people who were pro-tray never said they wanted to require anyone to use a tray. However, the anti-tray people wanted trays removed and that would effectively require people to not use one.

You can compare tray removal to how if we got rid of cars in the United States, we'd get rid of automobile accidents. Sure, it's a way to reduce something... but the cost is too high.
