GrandMarc In Minnesotta Slightly Better

Earlier in the week we mentioned how there are other GrandMarc buildings in the country targeted at students like the proposed GrandMarc on St. Boltoph Street. The one near UC Riverside had a super majority of students who did not recommend the building. In Minneapolis, Minnesotta, the GrandMarc at Seven Corners has just a 33% rate of recommendation according to ApartmentRatings.com. That means two-thirds of reviewers do not recommend the building.

Some of the problems with the GrandMarc at Seven Corners include issues with management losing documentation and improperly billing residents, trash and cleanliness, and facilities problems. Here's a comment from one reviewer:

The place was a hole when I moved in. When I moved out they charged me $400 dollars for damages that were there when I got there. I had filled out a sheet when I first moved in listing the damages, but they claimed to have lost it. There was nothing else I could do. They also charged my roommate $400, so that's another $800 they got out of us.
Another reviewer wrote:
Sinks leak and water drips from units above! Our light above sink filled with water and fell from the ceiling due to weight and broke all over.

With the problems at more than one GrandMarc building elsewhere in the country, I ask the readers of the blog to comment on whether or not they would want to live in a similar building in the Northeastern area. In the coming weeks the Housing Services Committee and the Resident Student Association will be discussing the GrandMarc proposed for St. Boltoph's Street in-depth and making comment on it before the public comment period closes on August 1st.

They over charge for any reason they can come up to,such as " each time you forget your key, they charge 25 dollars for opening the door for you.
